The price of tomatoes at the Wholesale Markets in May 2012 has increased compared to the same period of the last year. At the Wholesale Markets, tomatoes are sold at an average price of 71.00 den/kg, compared with 2011 when the price was 61.25 den/kg.

From the region:

In the Republic of Serbia at the Wholesale Markets, the average price per kilogram tomatoes is 90 denars, while last year in the same period the price was 64 den/kg.

In the Republic of Croatia the wholesale price of tomatoes is 100 den/kg, while in the same period last year it was 70 den/ kg.

From the mentioned above can be concluded that prices of tomatoes, both on the domestic and regional markets this year, are higher by 15 to 20% compared with same period of the last year.
