This period is characterized by intense buying of lambs traditionally exported to overseas markets mainly in Italy and Greece. According to the needs of markets, business entities - slaughterhouses for Christmas Holidays, are buying 16 to 19 kilograms live weight of lambs. This year is characteristic that the lambs over 20 kg live weight are less demanded. Purchase price of lambs is formed according to market principles and depends primarily on the demand for lamb.

Purchase price movement for lamb classes according to information from business entities compared to last year during this period tends to decrease.
